The attorney fixed fee for a Chap. 7 bankruptcy petition is typically $700 for an individual consumer, which includes preparation of the petition, representation of the client at a 341 hearing, and representation for reaffirmation agreements. The fee could be as much as $1500 for a complex matter. The attorney fee does not include filing fees required by the bankruptcy court ($299), fees for credit counseling from third-party organizations ($100 for 2 courses), or a fee for a credit report. |
